Bali Waterbom Park

One of the Bali’s common travel destinations and most unusual attractions is Waterbom Park, set amidst 3,5 hectares (8,6 acres) of beautifully landscape grounds in Tuban, just south of Kuta. Exactly what is Waterbom Park? It is an all family recreations complex that includes exciting water rides, swimming pools, a variety of restaurants and snack bar and plenty of room for recreation and relaxation.

Perhaps Waterbom Park’s most celebrated attractions are set of paralleled race tracks that begin at the top of a 16 meters or 52 foot tower, shoot intrepid riders hundreds of meters of up to 50 kilometers per hour and even get them airborne for an exciting moment or two! There are also two jungle rides on which riders twist and turn along a watery banked track that runs through gorgeous tropical vegetation. A far more relaxing alternative is floating with the current down Raft River in a private or two seater tube rafts

The more faint-hearted will relish the pleasure of the Lazy River: 250 meters of gentle rapids and softly cascading waterfalls. When even this seems too strenuous, there is lazing about in the Pleasure Pool (with underwater music) or one of Waterbom Park’s shady gazebos

All of the park’s 600 meters of slides and other attractions have been designed and constructed in accordance with strict US safety standards. The five slides were created for use by both adults and children. Trained park attendant are always nearby to help visitors get the most fun out of the various rides.

Great care are also been taken to ensure that park activities have no negative environmental impact on the surrounding community of Tuban. For example, to avoid the use of harmful chemicals, the developers of Bali Waterbom Park installed Indonesia’s largest saltwater chlorination plant. This innovative system uses regular sea salt as its raw material for water purification. In additions, the park has been so carefully integrated into the local landscape that it is not the least bit intrusive visually

The park offers good Indonesian, Italian and other international food in several pleasant locations. Juice bars and cool drink stalls are everywhere at Bali Waterbom Park. At the pleasure pool, it is not even necessary to get out of the water to enjoy a beverage

In line with its family orientation, the atmosphere throughout Bali Waterbom Park is pleasant and peaceful, with no sellers and no hassles. Children under 12 must be accompanied by adult, and kids under five are admitted free. The location is quite convenient, just 15 minutes from either Sanur or Nusa Dua and within walking distance of the centre of Kuta. With Bali Waterbom Park, the quite community of Tuban has yet another worthwhile attraction.
